Lumicom recently helped Powercor with Digital Signage requirements for the upgrade of their Market street Melbourne office reception. Powercor’s busy office is responsible for electricity distribution throughout western Victoria and western suburbs of Melbourne. The LG LCD’s were supplied and installed by the builder but for content management and distribution, Powercor relied on Lumicom’s expertise.
The Scala digital signage platform was selected because of the powerful content playback, management, and control capabilities. The Scala Content Manager is being hosted on-line by Lumicom to provide future expansion capabilities into additional sites with vastly different network topologies and connections.
Lumicom supplied and installed a HDBaseT distribution and switching system using Atlona technology, and provide remote control and management using Nodel. This provides both ad-hoc control and monitoring using any HTML client device and scheduled on/off and content management using the Scala scheduling engine. Lumicom are also providing 24 hour monitoring on the system in our Melbourne support centre.
